We're super fan boys of the Dutchman whether he's crafting leftfield electronics and weird downtempo like on a recent album, cooking up pristine drum & bass on any number of 12"s or going deeper into bass territory as he does here on MYOR. Opener 'Canaan' is a deep and cavernous half-time rhythm with curious melodies up top and organic jungle sounds. On the flip he brings his signature breakbeats to the fore on 'Mordechai', a jostling cut with steamy drums and ancient melodies.

Review: Riddim Tuffa's Echoboy follows up releases on Moonshine and Solway Dub with this exceptional triplet of soundsystem jams on Soul Ex Machina. Cosmic, meditative but kicking like a sub-loaded mule, there's a gentle progression throughout the EP. 'Roots Of Dub' immerses us like a Smith & Mighty blueprint, 'We Lock Down The Block' is a little more dancefloor focused but still heavily restrained and pared back (similar to Tipper at his deepest and most star-gazey) while finally 'Chords Trip' closes on a much more traditional digi dub tip. Beautiful.

Review: Hamdi presents DUPLOC with two of his most sought-after dub plates on this sizzling new 12", plus a bonus vinyl-one cut. The 'Selecta' EP comes three years after his one and only other record and kicks off with the title track, a menacing low-slung buzzer. The drums make heavy rotations beneath a synth one that zips about with future energy. 'Immortal' then layers up another fat low-end oscillation and crisp hits while 'Peace' has a more prickly percussive vibe and suspensory feel topped with grime vocals. Three sound systems winners, for sure.

Review: Hebbe jumps back on the controls of his and Pieter DUPLOC's Basskruit imprint with two thick, treacle-like jams. 'Industry Standard Dub' belies its tongue-in-cheek title within seconds of kicking off. A worm-like oscillating freak-out, it's riddled with groove and funk he's shown on previous jams like 'Quiche' and 'Looters'. 'M1 Dub' meanwhile has a dirge-like Commodo style darkness that digs you deeper and deeper into the ground with every trippy shot and fill. Heavy Hebbe.

Review: It's been a while since we last saw Sepia on Infernal Sounds but rolling deep with Rider Shafique, he fits right back into the groove with the sublime and title track 'Time Stands Still'. A fitting title for a dreamy vibe, it's backed up by a wide range of gems... Following the intense flavours of cuts like 'Spice', 'Mumbai' and 'Tale Of She', both of these tracks pack a beguiling punch and some really interesting sample craft. 'Two Shades Of Blue' wheezes and teases with traditional dubby effects while 'Voices' hits the head and brain with a lot more of a physical punch and powerful layering effects. Premium gear.
