Featuring eight exclusive tracks by Green himself, as well as a remix of Underworld's classic 'Two Months Off', this mix shows off Green's advneturousness, blending deep house, techno and ambient.

Review: Leftifled's Leftism remains one of the great dance music albums of all time. It came back in the 90s when no one was making full lengths that really made the most of the format: This is not a collection of club tracks but a musical voyage through dub, techno, bass and house that is meticulously designed and all-consuming once you turn it up nice and loud. In fact, it is best enjoyed in one sitting rather than in the modern playlist fashion with tracks broken up because that way the pressure is built and released, the moods ebb and flow and the music really makes an indelible impact.

Review: Over the past ten years brothers Sasha and Sergey Lipsky have been throwing down their own brand of wayward grooves as Simple Symmetry, tapping into a kind of cosmic sound which has been right at home on labels like Disco Halal. Now the Russiann pair have arrived on Multi Multi after teasing the connection with a compilation offering in 2021. On this EP we get dark n' dirty electro throb, ascendant trancey techno, sentimental sax-laden wooze-house (think 'Pacific State' on luudes) and a remix from kindred spirits Red Axes which will do maximum damage on the floor.

State Of Trance (8:29)
Anonymous (7:26)
Review: Tel Aviv-born producer and DJ Guy J returns with two key pieces, State Of Trance and Anonymous, for Lost & Found. Paying direct homage to the hypnotic oeuvre of early trance classics, both tracks here lay down a sweet, burgeoning mood of entrainment - the breakdown on the A-side removes the kick drum halfway, locking in a rhythmic nerviness that many trance artists would be afraid of indulging. Meanwhile, the B-sider mires arpy rapture in loud textures of wind and thunder, dropping out most of its elements into a ghostly, gargantuan haze before dropping them back into a minimal, gobby drop.

Orbits Theme (6:29)
Review: The 39 Orbits pair of Nick Annies and Twink put out only two releases and they were back in 1993. In the years since though, they have become real digger's delights that now fetch high prices on the second-hand market if and when copies come up. But not anymore - Cosmic Soup has assembled this welcome 180g 12" which features tracks from those original records as well as one previously unreleased cut. 'Mercury' is pure dreamy post-rave prog house, as is the slightly more direct 'Outer Limits.' 'After Life' is high-speed house with lush synth work and 'Orbit's Theme' gets more deep and inwardly reflective.

Review: Mindhelmet is one of the freshest underground labels out there right now. It has excelled at mining a rich vein of electronic sounds where space music, techno, electro and minimal all combine into fresh new forms. Wickham is next up with some colourful and creative party sounds on this 11th label EP. 'Lost Grain' is all bouncy bass and splashy cymbals, 'Busker' is a stripped-back tech pumper and 'Crowded' has lively and playful synth stabs that will get any floor vibing. The flipside offers three more similar tight, vivid yet spaced out dancefloor gems.

Review: C.K. is a Danish producer best known for his work in 2 Bit Crew and Regelbau, but he's more recently been focusing on his Private Recording System label, which strides into its ninth release with a little outside input from Ben Boe. C.K. himself leads on the A-side with 'Lock', a solid house-geared workout with plenty of immersive melodic threads tipping the vibe towards the proggy end of things. Meanwhile on the flip Boe's 'Neighbourhood Quasar' gets the remix treatment from C.K., who flips it into a bouncy, 909-powered jam for dancefloor dreamers the world over.

Review: As you will well know if you are reading this, prog house is back and it has been for ages. As always with any revival, there is good stuff and weak stuff. This EP is very much the corner from Forces of Nature, with authentic 90s soundscapes mixing up lush ambient synth designs, dreamy Italo drums and real musical depth. 'Jupiter' is super smooth and seductive as it cruises at high altitude, then 'Tripping' is a downbeat workout and 'The Bomb' takes you to the heavens on gorgeous melodies while the bass plunges low. 'In Your Mind' is perfectly comedown music to close the EP in style.

Review: Deep In Dis Intl. returns after a hiatus, presenting a split EP featuring Swedish talents Eric OS and Lewis. Eric's releases on System Error, Eya Records and Space Trace caught the label's attention after hearing his tracks at Nostromo Festival. Lewis, head of Data Flow, brings his analogue soundscapes. 'Eden' (A1) fills the dancefloor with endless grooves and dreamy pads. 'Timebomb' (A2) takes the vibe higher with proggy melodies and solid drum patterns. 'Project Mayhem' (B1) hypnotises with its groove, while 'Acid44' seals the EP with infectious synths, snappy snares and a powerful bassline.

Review: Neatly summarising Alex Neri's career in a sentence is almost impossible but suffice to say that he's released a ridiculous amount of music, using a multitide of aliases, since the early 1990s. Here the veteran Italian returns to Slow Life for the first time in three years with a belated sequel to the much admired 'Peaceful Warriors' EP. Blurring the boundaries between deep house and tech-house throughout, Neri variously offers up hypnotic, organ-rich warmth (the subtly Italo-house influenced chunkiness of 'Gordo'), TB-303-laden, Korg M-1-sporting peak-time release (the squelchy, energy-packed 'It's All About Love'), picturesque house psychedelia ('Lit', where echoing bird noises, tactile melodies and squiggly acid lines ride a bouncy beat), and rushing Italian dream-house revivalism (the excellent 'Paradise Mix' of 'Lit').

Irregular Minds (5:57)
Five Atoms (6:45)
Equilibrium (7:03)
Review: Flotation is the sole aim of Cosmic G & Laars' latest EP - if there's anything that evokes the feeling of floating in dance music, it's gated heavenly vocals. That's exactly what we're met with on the opening title track here; flights of angels sing us to our unrest, as we duly float upwards beyond the stratosphere and party with our maker outside the pearly gates. It's a theme that is carried throughout the EP, a slinky and 'amphibian' acid house EP if we were to say anything otherwise about it. Progressively, things get deeper and darker, save for the breaks closer 'Equilibrium', which more or less evokes the feeling of flying back down to Earth on the back of a magic orca.

Pop Panic (Suite 999) (5:00)
Review: Just a week after dropping its first release - a fine reissue of a 1993 techno classic - VIL is back with another superb EP. Pop Panic's People on Earth is an experimental and leftfield take on techno with freewheeling rhythms built from strange sound sources. The Sound Down version of the title track is all silvery synths and loopy tech drums with twanging metal lines and snaking dub bass. 'Pop Panic (Secrets Inside)' then picks up the pace with a heavily layered and tightly interwoven mix of drums, hits and synths that work your bones loose and 'Pop Panic (Suite 999)' goes deeper, darker and more spare.

Review: Born in Geneva but based in Argentina, Simon Vuarambon was last seen on Shanti Radio's in-house label back in 2017 with the incredible Ethiopian / Siberian 12". Now he makes a welcome return with 1996, a record which finds the producer embracing unabashed trance tones to the fullest. The title track in particular sounds like it would go down a storm with the likes of Armin Van Buuren, albeit with a house groove still detectable in the drums. 'Quimera' is a blissful, melancholic tripper loaded with epic synth tones, and 'Like Any Wonder' takes things deeper without losing that bombastic melodic touch.

Review: Multi-instrumentalist, music-maker, and singer-songwriter Elderbrook shares his second album 'Little Love' for ADA, channelling a mixture of big, bold electronic and more sensitive acoustic pop elements to express the lows, highs and neutrals of becoming a father. Speaking of "glimmers in your eye" and "being there if you need me", this is a promise of unconditional love in album form, with its overarching mood being one of surety.

Review: The cuddly deepness just oozes out of these new jams by Nico Lahs right from the off. 'One More Time' has smooth edges, humid pads and frictionless drums with just the right amount of skip to keep you locked. Elsewhere there is a more jumbled percussive sound to 'Imagination', which has scruffy kicks and Detroit pads to keep you vibing. 'Shake Dat' then gets a little more rough and ready, basement style. The chords are still lush but the drums punchy that bit harder to get the party amping. Textbook and timeless stuff.

Review: For obvious reasons, Paranoid London tend not to say much about their popular 'Pledits', series, which see them rework, sample, combine and breathe new life into a variety of classic cuts. What we can say is that every single track in the series so far bangs hard and has been caned by DJs with taste. 'Music's Insane', the opening cut from their latest batch of reworks, is another weighty workout - a restless Chicago jack-attack blessed with moody pitched-down vocal snippets, 8-bit electronics and a mind-mangling bassline. On 'From The Back', they add reverb-laden vocal snippets to a hybrid beatbox electro/Chicago house beat, while 'Poignant Dexter' is a breathlessly energetic, drum-machine driven chunk of acid house/ghetto-house fusion that will ignite peak-time dancefloors.

Review: We could hardly believe it when last year we spotted that Cafe Del Mar has turned 30 years old already. It became an instant Ibiza classic as soon as it landed back in 1992 and has remained that way ever since. Now we get an equally vital part of trance music history - the one and only Paul Van Dyk - serving up his own new XOYO remix. It's a subtle tweak that brings more texture to the timeless original while emo techno pair Tale of Us blast in some white noise and bass rumbles to up the ante further for main room deployment.

Review: Romanian artist Iuly.B makes a great label debut here on Metereze out of his home country. He serves up three of his painstaking produced and sublimely arranged minimal tech house rollers. 'Presence' goes first with its sci-fi motifs and wispy neon synths. 'Cruising' is a more crunchy and textured tune for the late night hours and then he strips things right back to a taught, pinging kick drum and sonorous bass on 'Exoplanet.' Craigie Knowes provides ample patronage and license for him to release his latest EP here, 'Square One'. Inspired by Lisene's revisiting of his workflow and implementing a new approach to production, choice tracks from 'Deja Voodoo' to 'Perception Check' segue through both light and dark moods, carefully nodding to broken beat, garage, and acid trance as ever - but with an extra-slick, cetaceous vibe.

He was amongst the first to champion The Pressure on his iconic Transitions radio show and now along with Nick Muir they all come together on this new single from Undisputed Music. 'Counting Down The Days' (extended mix) is a far sighted, cosmic progressive house tune that builds in sweeping layers with lush arps and prickly tech edged beats. There is a dub for more dreamy moments and a Strings dub that ups the latent sophistication of the original.

Review: The eighth instalment of Global Underground's Select series follows the pattern set by its predecessors by offering up two discs of mixed, non-stop music, all of which is either new, recent or exclusive. In keeping with GU's roots in progressive house, the majority of the tracks on offer are melodic and atmospheric, blurring the boundaries between deep house, tech-house, techno, dubbier fare and breakbeat-driven dreaminess. It's all attractive and listenable, though there are some headline-grabbing highlights - not least the sun-splashed deliciousness of Solee's 'Growl', the Space Invaders-goes-trance throb of 1979's 'Vulcano', a typically heady 'lost' Herbert dub of Dusky and Janai's 'Lost In You' and the deep-tech shuffle of Jonathan Kaspar's 'Where Am I'.

Truly sounding like the magic goings-on heard from a sly wizard's enchanting table, the devilish concoctions brewed up here include the echoic 'Exalted' and the effervescent 'Topka'. Review: Lithuanian producer Pletnev might have some occasional fun under the various aliases of Ponty Mython and Moisk, but he here returns to his most central alias on 'When The Job Is Done', his latest EP. Four bits of 90s-inspired ambient acid house, techno and breakbeat all collide into a wispy and cinematic foray through aetherial post-aquatic electronics. Wetness ('Water Can Keep Secrets Too') and dryness (the B tunes) both occupy the wax in equal, complementary measure. All danceable, of course. Dare we say, they're synthetic enough to evoke thoughts of what might happen if Laurie Andserson and Vangelis took eccies together.

Review: As the co-mingling of tech house and trance continues apace, we've reached the point where prog is fully back on deck and Space Lab are absolutely here for it. The continuously joyous, rave-minded party and label are in thrall to the unifying sounds of richly melodic, trippy club music, and Bristol-based producer Remotif is ready to give them what they want, not least on ecstatic lead track 'Substation Fever'. Adam Pits holds true to the overall vibe of the track while offering his own nuanced kind of trance-out on the 'Cascade Remix' before we flip over to savour the hot and steamy 'Hi Tek Lo Life' with its rowdy 90s house jack and expertly woven atmospherics. 'The Signal Prevails' switches stance for a slow but meaty breakbeat joint laden with a synapse-tingling array of pings, tweaks and wriggles for the wide-eyed massive.

Gettin' It Done (3:48)

Review: Ross From Friends is now firmly part of the house establishment, and part of the reason is because of his essential early EPs. This is one of them and it came on the Lobster Theremin label all the way back in 2016. Already by the time of release the tracks had made their mark on global dance floors and to this day they still bang. The heart-aching samples and subtle synth work of 'Talk To Me You'll Understand' bring nagging emotional feels and lo-fi drum work to the dance floor, 'Gettin' It Done' is all nostalgic vapourware synth washes and fuzzy old school drums and closer 'Bootman' brings a gorgeous R&B sample to the table.

Review: Icelandic band GusGus are a well known quality in electronic circles. Competent at their electronic craft without ever breaking the mould, they have put out ten albums to date. This is their 11th, and first in three years. It finds Icelandic singer Margret Ran from Reykjavik band VOK join the group and is based around the concept of Earth being a futuristic world run by machines. Strip that backstory away and you are left with a retro tinged synth sound, progressive melodies and moments of pop vocal that rise high above the accessible grooves.

Review: Sometime Sex Tags Mania and Bordello A Parigi regular Skatebard (real name Bard Aasen Lodemel) begins his third decade as a music producer in confident style on 'The Bells of Mist'. In its original form (B1), the track is an emotive, bittersweet treat, with the long-serving Norwegian smothering a (digital) cowbell-laden rhythm track and thickset, arpeggio-style bassline in melancholic chords. Noted Balearic house revivalist Phillip Lauer provides the remixes, first delivering a 'Flute Mix' built around a Robin S style bassline, crunchy '90s house beats and loved-up electronic motifs, before doffing a cap to Bobby Orlando, 'Behaviour'-era Pet Shop Boys and druggy Italo-disco on the moody 'Marshall Mix'. Round of an excellent package, Skatebard slows the pace down via a horizontal, slow-motion chugger entitled 'Favrer Flimrer'.
