Notes: The most compact version - a 2-way bass reflex speaker with complete active technology
Measuring just 175mm wide and 290mm tall, the Reference 2A monitor is slimmer than an A4 sheet of paper. Despite this, it still offers the full range of possibilities of this series. With aptx Bluetoothr input (version 5.0), HDMIr input with ARC function, phono input and other analogue and digital inputs, it quickly replaces a complete stereo system and, of course, also creates an excellent acoustic impression when used with a computer.
Compact, but with the sound of much larger models
Although it shares a 25mm tweeter with its siblings, it also features a powerful 125mm mid-bass driver. It also reaches a frequency of up to 38 Hz. At the other end of the frequency band, it reaches 40,000 Hz. As a result, the Reference 2A renders details incredibly accurately.
The integrated amplifier in the active speaker provides 2 x 35 watts of continuous power (RMS) or 2 x 75 watts of peak power. The elaborately equipped crossover sorts the music signal at 3,500 Hz. Because both amplifiers are housed in one speaker, you only need one outlet for power; the passive speaker simply connects to the active unit using the supplied cable.
