Review: Pau Roses and Adria launched Cupula last year with a collaborative 12" which showcased their particular approach to the tech house scene, where acidic and rave influences can slip into sleek beat structures to make for dancefloor magic. That theme continues on this split release, which invites the likes of Hypnofriends, Saverio Celestri and Innershades to lay down their own machine-powered jams for the freakier kind of floor. If you want to have a lot of fun and grease the crowd up good and proper, these tracks have got you covered.

Review: Heko Records have perfected the craft of "dreamatic" house music, a formula that has nestled itself firmly in the collective psyche of dance music-makers ever since Dreamatic released the track 'Audio Trip'. Here they welcome Innershades to the fore for a new EP that refreshes the style for the present, with heaters like 'Summer Love' seeming to take direct inspiration from the aforementioned track, while adding a modern flair. Things slowly get more bloopy and hard, as 'Mutant' squelches and hat-scratches away against a bed of yet more pads, while '909 Voices' similarly lulls us into a hypnotic state with a slow tapering-off into ravier territories.

Review: Innershades has put out a lot of heavyweight club tackle in the past few years, gracing labels like CABARET, Time Passages, Crimes Of The Future and so very many more with plush, high-end hardware house. Now Serenity have brought him on board with Jos for a split EP in support of Save The Children. Innershades takes up the A side with the warm, jacking peak timer 'A Better Life' and the emotionally-charged acid pearler 'In Their Eyes'. On the flip EYA Records boss Jos brings a similarly upfront, bold production style, but favours the slow n' thumping breaks approach over straight up house on 'Rituals Of Resistance'. 'The Palace Of Illusions' is markedly more jacked up, with a peak time thrust to the drums and some big synth hooks to latch onto. Four big time belters, what more could you ask for?
